Men Struggle Too

There's so much male-bashing going on in the world.

I wanted to shine a light on what men worry about so that you can come from a place of EMPATHY and CURIOSITY.

Did you know that men have lots of worries and insecurities just like women do?

Having had thousands of in-real-life conversations with men, I have learned quite a bit of knowledge. In addition to the relationship and dating training I’ve taken and research I’ve done.

I'm sharing this with you so that you know that it's not just women who're living with insecurities and worries on a daily basis.

Men worry/concern themselves about the following things:

  • Is my belly too big?

  • Am I starting to go bald?

  • Is my penis too small?

  • Can I satisfy a woman sexually?

  • Will a woman love me for who I am?

  • Do I look masculine enough?

  • Do I look too old?

  • Am I competent at work?

  • Will I be able to provide for my family?

  • Will I ever have enough money?

  • Will I die without having shared my gifts with the world?

This is just a SHORT list.

They worry about their physical “flaws” but unlike women, men don't become consumed by them the way women do.

While men think about their insecurities and flaws, they rarely talk about them to anyone.

They usually don't confide in their male friends and say stuff like ''Hey Tom, do you think I'm an unsuccessful, wimpy, balding, pot-bellied, slob and loser''? (Those aren’t my words but the words a man once shared with me).

Men generally keep their shortcomings to themselves.

In this area, women have the advantage.

A woman can reveal her flaws and insecurities much more easily without necessarily worrying about the consequences.

Men are trained to have the poker-face approach to their issues.

While it's said over and over again that we live in a man's world, I beg to differ.

In some ways, it most definitely is not.

I wish more men were aware that there are men’s groups/support programs. Many of which are online.

If a man cannot feel safe about opening up, then he cannot truly rule the world.

Let me know how this resonated with you in the comments.
